Today, I got to talk with "my mom" on the phone. I can't even begin to tell you how this blessed me! It has been weeks since I have had a heart to heart talk with "my mom." With Mom's struggles with her levels, infections and challenges, Mom hasn't been quite herself when we have talked. Today was different. It was just Mom and me. Dad was out running an errand to bless Mom. She listened, encouraged and shared her heart with me as I shared mine. There is nothing like a mom. How I have missed mine! Thank you God for allowing me to have this special time with my precious mother.
Mom had another platelet transfusion last night. She said that no new challenges have made themselves known today. What a praise! She was very glad that she had already taken a short walk with her walker twice today. Hopefully, her muscles will continue to cooperate and her physical condition will increasingly to improve. There is still no talk of being released anytime soon.
Mom is "fine" and optimistic. A wonderful quality to possess. She has been blessed by all the phone calls. Thank you for giving of your time to bless our mother. It is the prayers, kindness and encouragement of others that continue to bless her so greatly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
